This is not a product made to take a beating. I suspect even with care it will last less than a year in my hands. There are a number of design flaws but as far as functionality, it works as described. Unlike so many look-alikes online these days, it’s not just a warmer but works like a low-temperature oven, generating heat up to 300, which is enough to slow-cook meat and chicken safely. It warms to heat soups and canned meals in less than 1.5 hours. I’ve tested mine with an Ecoflow River 2, sort of their next-to-lowest-end battery. It draws about 60 to 75 watts the first 20 minutes or so, then levels into the 30s to 40s for the duration. Less than 1.5 hours to heat, 3 to 4 to cook two large chicken breasts, or one small cornish hen safely. If you travel by road, this thing’s ideal for reheating pre-frozen meals and sides too. The interior dimensions fit most 8×4 disposables, and if you’re creative, you can rest 2 4×4 pans on top of it and close the lid around all three. Since there’s no element, the heating is even and moisture is trapped, so there’s no dry-out, even if you let it run a little longer. As I said at the beginning, it’s delicate, meaning the latch is plastic, the lid seals probably won’t last, and the cord is not one I’d leave plugged in without watching, even though it’s fused. Would I recommend this? Yes. Just consider it a consumable or disposable that you know will only last a certain amount of time. If you get ten to fifteen uses out of it, then it’s probably going to pay for itself and then some, considering convenience and the cost of eating-out.
